THE SLIMLINE II IS STRONG. Unlike most roof racks, the Slimline II was designed and built specifically for off-road use. Manufactured with high density aluminum the Front Runner Slimline II can withstand the stress of any adventure.
The load support slats fit into a double walled aluminum extrusion channel on the side profiles and are secured via locking nuts. This patented design creates a joint support that is stronger than usual for a roof rack.
The Slimline II’s L-shaped rear and front slat design increases the strength of the entire rack, making the Slimline II the lightest and the strongest roof rack available.
THE SLIMLINE II IS LIGHTWEIGHT. Aluminum is on average 30% lighter than steel. The new Front Runner all aluminum Slimline II patented design offers the best strength to weight ratio of any roof rack. The all aluminum Front Runner Slimline II can withstand greater stresses than the best all-steel roof rack at 1/3rd less the weight.
The extra strength and lightness of the Slimline II allows heavier loads to be carried on the roof of the vehicle more safely compared to comparable all-steel roof racks. Using the lighter Slimline II Roof Rack instead of a comparable all-steel rack can lessen your vehicle’s environmental impact, decrease vehicle wear, and improve gas mileage.
THE SLIMLINE II IS MODULAR. The Slimline II offers complete roof rack design flexibility. No other roof rack available today can be assembled by the customer to meet their specific needs.
More slats can be added to create a solid platform option for sleeping and/or sitting and enjoying sundowners. Slats can also be removed to create unobstructed access through a T-top or sunroof.
A full size rack can be quickly converted to a shorter rack with the purchase of a pair of shorter side rails. Or a smaller rack can be made longer with the purchase of longer side rails and additional slats.
Expedition style rails can even be effortlessly added to create the classic roof rack basket shape.
If any individual component of the roof rack becomes accidentally damaged, the part can be swapped out without having to replace the entire tray.
THE SLIMLINE II IS LOW PROFILE. Because of the unique T-slot mounting system, “basket style” side rails are not necessary. This flat deck design is unobtrusive and compliments the lines of today’s automobiles. Because there are no side rails, it’s easier and quicker to remove stored gear and it’s also possible to mount a roof top tent.
For city use, the lower profile affords easier access to underground car parks and garages. By minimizing the profile, there is less drag and noise than the typical roof rack - thereby increasing fuel efficiency and increasing performance.
To further reduce wind noise, all Front Runner Slimline II roof racks come with Wind Deflectors included.
THE SLIMLINE II IS DURABLE. A roof rack should last as long as your vehicle. Most roof racks available today will rust, chip, and/or crack after being exposed to the elements. The Front Runner Slimline II Roof Rack will take the abuse of the sun, the rain, the gear, as well as whatever condition road you drive on.
The Slimline II tray is manufactured in South Africa entirely with corrosion free aluminum while the mounting solutions are either all aluminum or stainless steel -- ensuring a lifetime of dependability.
As an extra layer of protection, all Front Runner Slimline II roof racks and mounting solutions are powder coated satin black with one of the industry’s most durable and lasting finishes - Akzonobel’s Interpon 600 (CPO 6034). This weather resistant powder coating is formulated for exterior uses and far exceeds industry standards, with the finish showing no visible damage at 500 hours of continuous salt spray.
THE SLIMLINE II IS VERSATILE. The Slimline II offers easy on and off mounting for any type of adventure gear. No more untying, unstrapping, un-netting the entire contents of your roof rack to remove one item. The t-slot slats and slotted side rails offer complete mounting flexibility. Loads are independently secured anywhere on the top, sides, or bottom of the rack using Front Runner’s unique bolt on system.
The Slimline II offers limitless possibilities for the end user to customize the arrangement of over 25 Front Runner roof rack accessories.

All FRONT RUNNER products being returned for warranty must include a copy of the invoice for the original sale. Warranty approvals will not be granted if an original invoice or copy of an invoice is not provided,
Subject to the limitations and exclusions described in this warranty, FRONT RUNNER will remedy defects in materials or workmanship by repairing or replacing, at its option, a defective product without charge for parts or labor. In addition, FRONT RUNNER may elect, at its option, not to repair or replace a defective product but rather issue to a purchaser a refund equal to the purchase price paid for the product or a credit to be used toward the purchase of a new FRONT RUNNER product.
This warranty excludes problems caused by normal wear and tear including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, tears, or aesthetic oxidation of surfaces, natural breakdown of colors and materials over extended time and use, commercial use, accidents, or unlawful vehicle operation.
No warranty is given for defects resulting from conditions beyond FRONT RUNNER’s and Rugged Outlander’s control including, but not limited to, modifications or repairs not performed or authorized by FRONT RUNNER, misuse, overloading, or failure to assemble, install or use the product in accordance with FRONT RUNNER’s written instructions or guidelines included with the product or made available to the purchaser originally.
ROOF RACKS (LIMITED LIFETIME)
FRONT RUNNER will warranty all FRONT RUNNER Roof Racks for a LIFETIME of use by the original purchaser. The warranty will only stand if the FRONT RUNNER Roof Racks are fitted to a FRONT RUNNER Mounting System. The Roof Rack Kits must be installed in accordance with Front Runner's recommended fitment instructions. The Lifetime Warranty is effective for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product. This warranty terminates when the original retail purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the product to any other person. The components used in customized Roof Rack installations are considered accessories and are covered under the accessories warranty below.
ROOF RACK ACCESSORIES & MOUNTING SYSTEMS (3 YEARS)
FRONT RUNNER will warranty all FRONT RUNNER brand Roof Rack Accessories and Rack Mounting Systems manufactured by FRONT RUNNER for the first 3 years that an original retail purchaser owns the product. The Warranty will only stand if the accessories are fitted to a Front Runner Roof Rack. This warranty terminates if a purchaser transfers the product to any other person or if the accessories are fitted to any rack other than a FRONT RUNNER Roof Rack.
OTHER FRONT RUNNER MANUFACTURED (2 YEARS)
FRONT RUNNER will warranty all FRONT RUNNER brand fuel tanks, bumpers, tow bars, drawers and sliders manufactured by FRONT RUNNER for the first 2 years that an original retail purchaser owns the product. This warranty terminates when the original retail purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the product to any other person.
ROOF TOP TENTS & AWNINGS (2 YEARS)
FRONT RUNNER will warranty all FRONT RUNNER roof top tents and awnings for the first 2 years that an original retail purchaser owns the product. This warranty terminates when the original retail purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the product to any other person.
FRONT RUNNER BRANDED OTHER (1 Year)
FRONT RUNNER will warranty all other FRONT RUNNER branded items, not limited to but including, Expander Chairs, Cutlery, Storage Bags, Transit Bags, Flip Flop Tent, Telescopic Ladder for the first 1 year that an original retail purchaser owns the product. This warranty terminates when the original retail purchaser sells or otherwise transfers the product to any other person.
OTHER
FRONT RUNNER also sells products that complement the Front Runner product range. When those products are purchased from or through a Front Runner Reseller, FRONT RUNNER will honor ALL ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS WARRANTIES.
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT OR THE ISSUANCE OF A REFUND OR CREDIT (AS DETERMINED BY FRONT RUNNER OUTFITTERS) IS A PURCHASER’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. DAMAGE TO A PURCHASER’S VEHICLE, CARGO, AND/OR TO ANY OTHER PERSON OR PROPERTY IS EXCLUDED.
THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY MADE IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
FRONT RUNNER OUTFITTERS ’ SOLE LIABILITY TO ANY PURCHASER IS LIMITED TO THE REMEDY SET FORTH ABOVE. IN NO EVENT WILL FRONT RUNNER OUTFITTERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST SALES, OR FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OR FOR ANY OTHER DAMAGES OF ANY KIND OR NATURE.
In some countries, product liability legislation may give you other rights beyond the scope of this warranty. Where this applies, such rights shall replace the rights and conditions stated in this warranty
